The Position This position has primary responsibility for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment – such as diaphragm valves, centrifugal pumps, pressure regulators, autoclaves, Clean in Place (CIP) systems, centrifuge, and homogenizer. This role will assist in the coordination and execution of manufacturing equipment maintenance, improvement programs, and quality responses for process equipment as needed.

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) of manufacturing related equipment
  • Perform trouble shooting, repair and corrective maintenance (CM) of manufacturing related equipment
  • In partnership with Senior Technicians, Process Engineers and/or Manufacturing Technicians assist with trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of manufacturing related equipment
  • Interfaces with engineering and/or manufacturing departments to schedule work in parallel with manufacturing operations
  • Complete assigned PM work orders and Facilities work requests within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Available for “On-Call” as required
  • Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned
  • Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
  • Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others Physical Requirements 0-10% overnight travel required.

The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, and walk. The ability to push, pull, lift, finger, feel, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. Lifting up to 33lbs/15kg of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions including: noise, vibration, inside and outside conditions including temperature changes, extreme cold, and extreme heat; proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The working environment frequently includes close quarters and narrow aisles or passageways. Qualifications

    Education and Certifications:
    • Associate’s degree and/or Professional Certification in relevant field or equivalent military training with minimum one (1) year of work experience or high school diploma or equivalent with minimum of two (2) years of experience performing troubleshooting, repair and corrective and/or preventive maintenance
    Work Experience:
    • Previous experience performing troubleshooting, and/or repair of equipment
    • Previous experience performing corrective and/or preventive maintenance activities
    • Previous experience in clean room environment preferred
    • GMP applications preferred
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Possess basic mechanical knowledge
    • Ability to read and understand equipment and system drawings
