The Position This position has primary responsibilityfor routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment – such asdiaphragm valves, centrifugal pumps, pressure regulators,autoclaves, Clean in Place (CIP) systems, centrifuge, andhomogenizer. This role will assist in the coordination andexecution of manufacturing equipment maintenance, improvementprograms, and quality responses for process equipment as needed.
Relationships Reports to: According to the organizational chartNumber of subordinates with direct/indirect referral: n/a EssentialFunctions Perform preventive maintenance (PM) of manufacturingrelated equipment Perform trouble shooting, repair and correctivemaintenance (CM) of manufacturing related equipment In partnershipwith Senior Technicians, Process Engineers and/or ManufacturingTechnicians assist with trouble shooting, repair and maintenance ofmanufacturing related equipment Interfaces with engineering and/ormanufacturing departments to schedule work in parallel withmanufacturing operations Complete assigned PM work orders andFacilities work requests within the Computerized MaintenanceManagement System (CMMS) Available for “On-Call” as requiredPerform all other duties or tasks as assigned Performs all jobduties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner andin accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations andindustry codes Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentialsin all activities and interactions with others PhysicalRequirements 0-10% overnight travel required. The ability to climb,balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, and walk. Theability to push, pull, lift, finger, feel, and grasp. The abilityto speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication.
Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and orfingers. Lifting up to 33lbs/15kg of force occasionally, and/or upto 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of forceconstantly to move objects. Visual acuity to perform closeactivities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; and todetermine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assignedor to make general observations. The working environment includes avariety of physical conditions including: noise, vibration, insideand outside conditions including temperature changes, extreme cold,and extreme heat; proximity to moving mechanical parts, movingvehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and highplaces, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The workingenvironment frequently includes close quarters and narrow aisles orpassageways.
Qualifications Education and Certifications:
Associate’s degree and/or Professional Certification in relevantfield or equivalent military training with minimum one (1) year ofwork experience or high school diploma or equivalent with minimumof two (2) years of experience performing troubleshooting, repairand corrective and/or preventive maintenance
Work Experience:
Previous experience performing troubleshooting, and/or repair ofequipment Previous experience performing corrective and/orpreventive maintenance activities Previous experience in clean roomenvironment preferred GMP applications preferred
Knowledge, Skills,and Abilities:
