Perform diversified operate duties on Retainer machiningequipment including C/N/C equipment for production of companyproduct within limitations of standard procedures. Make necessary adjustments to all Retainer equipment such ashorizontal draw broach, pedestal and retainer drills, staking, aswell as the Roll form, Balance and other C/N/C equipment, toperform either rough or finish operations on a variety of bearingcomponents and related items. Perform excessing machine operatingduties as required. Safely, correctly and efficiently operate Retainer equipment inaccordance with standard operating procedures and workinstructions. Maintain necessary records and ensure that documentationprocedures are followed. Move material and parts as needed. Care is required to handlecomponents to prevent damage. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment,defective materials and unusual conditions to a leader. Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderlycondition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Train personnel as required. Create and update setup-sheets and standard workprocedures. Gauge knowledge should be sufficient to operate all gauges inarea of responsibility. Shall be capable of performing inspections in accordance withissued work instructions. Keep leader informed of all machine, quality and quantityproblems or audits as required. Conduct or assist in problem solving events and meetings. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment asrequired. Perform and be involved in continuous improvement projects asrequired. Perform other related duties as required or directed.

General Qualifications & Experience:

High School Diploma/GED required Basic mathematical and mechanical skills are required. Basic computer interface skills are required. Strong attention to detail along with the ability to multi-taskand coordinate work activities to be efficient and productive isrequired. Strong ability to follow written and prescribed workinstructions/procedures and tasks. Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptancecriteria, and engineering drawings. Situational/Spatial awareness along with strict adherence toPPE/safety protocols is required.

Physical Requirements:

Use of hands, legs, both near/far vision, and hearing test.

Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 35 pounds. Requiresextensive periods of walking, standing, repetitive gripping andflexing. Timken is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor. We provide priorityreferrals of protected veterans.
