JOB SUMMARY
Marport Americas is looking for a motivated and eager Technician to provide hands-on technical support in marine electronics. The Technician will assist in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic systems and equipment used in commercial fishing vessels. This position will involve working directly with customers, providing in-house support, and ensuring the optimal performance of all equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of marine electronics and systems on commercial fishing vessels. Conduct in-house technical support via phone, email, or remote access tools. Assist with the repair and maintenance of marine electronics, including sensors and related equipment. Test and verify systems to ensure proper functionality and operational standards. Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues. Perform routine diagnostics, including testing electronic components and systems. Assist in updating and maintaining technical documentation and manuals. Support in configuring and testing new equipment and devices. Maintain an organized and efficient work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly handled and stored. Follow proper safety protocols and work in accordance with safety standards. Be willing to travel as needed for on-site technical support or training (if applicable).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
0-2 years of experience in a technical support or technician role, ideally within marine electronics or a related industry. Trade or Technical School diploma preferred, or relevant technical experience.

Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the marine electronics field. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members. TECHNICAL SKILLS
