The ControlsEngineer Level III will support ongoing Lonza operations throughtechnical assistance as it relates to the manufacturing and processautomation systems. This engineering role provides a technicalresource to operations customers to ensure that instrumentation andautomation systems are designed and operating to meet productionneeds. The actual location of this job is Portsmouth, NH.Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates andtheir families, if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and execution of plant projects involving complexequipment changes and significant process improvements. Controls lead for tech transfers. Support resolution of equipment breakdowns and quality issuesin the suites. Provide SME support to Manufacturing and other departments forthe design and operation of process automation equipment. Conduct troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturingequipment and processes automation systems including PI dataanalyses, review/troubleshooting code, etc. both during normalbusiness hours and as part of an on-call rotation. Performs all work safely and meets the requisite trainingrequirements. Participates in IPT/JPT in addition to other meetings as theControls. representative. Participates in audits and inspections as Controls SME ifrequired. Owns and executes completion of CAPA actions. Initiates change controls and participates in all aspects ofthe change controls process. Review SOPs, Functional Specifications, and workinstructions. Remain up to date on all assigned training activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering field or ComputerScience with 5+ years industrial automation experience. Experience in the technical analysis of operational and designissues within an industrial environment. DeltaV automation experience is required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Outlook,Word, and Excel. Ability to think critically and logically. Strong communication skills. Ability to work with othercollaborating teams.
