The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Field Engineering team in Buffalo, NY is looking for a seasoned Field Technician 3 to support our Joint Threat Emitter (JTE) Electronic Warfare product line at customer sites.

What You’ll Get To Do :

The successful candidate will have a background in the operation and maintenance of RADAR, Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, commercial digital and RF equipment, or other electronics. They will have experience testing, troubleshooting, and performing repairs with minimal supervision. The candidate should possess strong mechanical skills with extensive experience in using both hand tools and power tools. Knowledge in the proper usage of RF/Digital test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power meters is desired.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment. Perform a range of maintenance and technical support tasks on various products, including equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software at customer or field locations. Analyze and evaluate product performance, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly, and installing and upgrading products while ensuring coordinated engineering changes. Maintain effective communication and relationships with customers and may provide onsite training for customer support personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

HS and a minimum of 4 years of related experience Strong mechanical skills and have extensive experience working with both hand tools and power tools. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time domestically and internationally. Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50 lbs. Possession of an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance along with a current SAP clearance. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and program access for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous JTE or CEESIM experience Associate’s degree in technical field and related experience. U.S. military electronic school in Electronic Warfare or RF Systems. Hands-on experience in RF, RADAR, Electronic Warfare systems, or other electronics, including testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Salary Range:

$58,700.00 – $97,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
