This is a direct hire opportunity. A full job description can be provided to interested/qualified candidates Our client is seeking a Full Time Cabling Installation Technician to install Fiber Optic cabling. (This role will sometimes need to work with Cat 5E, Cat 6, 6A, AV and coax cabling. Individuals should be mechanically inclined, organized, and have good communication & troubleshooting skills with experience in field installations. To be considered for the
Fiber Cabling Installation Technician Role:
Must have solid experience in the installation of Fiber Optic cabling with good troubleshooting skills. Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record. Must have a high School Education Cabling Installation Technician Responsibilities include: Responsible for timely, on-budget installations of projects. Perform closet buildouts, cabling installation, terminations, testing, and certifications. Experience with Fiber terminations, OTDR, Fiber testing equipment a plus. Complete daily assignments and work orders as scheduled in professional manner.
Cabling Installation Technician Requirements:
Must have a good understanding of work orders, products, and blueprints to determine service and repair of all cabling systems. Have an understanding of how to test and certify with proper test equipment and make necessary repairs if needed. Must have good troubleshooting, diagnostic skills and ability to solve system problems and failures. Must ensure work is in accordance with applicable codes and standard practices. Able to work well with others in a team atmosphere. Willing to travel. Willing to work outside or inside in all weather when needed. OSHA 10 certification is a plus. Scissor and Boom Lift certifications are a plus.
PAY RATES/SCHEDULES
$24 – $28/hr DOE Hours vary – 1st shift day, 2nd shift all depends on the customer needs, weekends are required “Beyond TalentEdge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
