Remote Operations Technician 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Braddock, PA 15104 • Remote Embark on a New Role with the Operations Team Are you eager to play a vital role in overseeing complex operations from our command center? As a Remote Operations Technician, your main duty is to ensure the seamless functionality of our blast furnace systems by meticulously monitoring various processes, including hoisting and stove operations, all from a central hub. Have a knack for diagnosing and solving technical challenges? You’ll team up with field technicians to troubleshoot and modify PLC ladder logic, document these adjustments on blueprints, and keep our systems running smoothly. Your responsibility will also extend to maintaining constant communication throughout the network, interfacing effortlessly with multiple platforms.
Your Technical Prowess Will Shine:
Fix processors down to the component board level, even diving into soldering tasks as necessary. Terminate fiber optic communication wiring like a pro. Regulate scales and sonar equipment, ensuring accurate readings. Bring a deep understanding of combustion theories, AC/DC drives, motor starters, and various PLC systems like Allen Bradley and Emerson Ovation.
What We Require:
Educationally, you’ll bring a 2-year degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a relevant tech field. Real-world, hands-on experience of 1-3 years in a manufacturing setup is key, along with the skill to handle tools like voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
