Facilities Instrumentation Technician 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 2425 West 23rd Street, Erie, PA 16506 Job Overview The Plastek Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing maintenance work orders as assigned. They will perform maintenance on and repair electronic and electrical machinery to support the plant equipment. They shall be able to perform the assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a neat, safe, and timely manner with minimal to no supervision. Duties Troubleshoot (to component level), repair, calibrate, and ensure electronic equipment is operational in safe and efficient working condition. Requisition, stock, and install replacement components/parts. Document repairs and keep maintenance records of equipment. Evaluate equipment, report on outdated/obsolete items, make recommendations for repairs or replacements. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains work area, parts, tools, and supplies. Wear proper protective equipment while performing job duties (i.e., goggles, helmet, back brace, knee pads). Have knowledge of all relevant SOPs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills Ability to perform all essential functions using safe work methods and following safety regulations relating to job. Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision. Ability to perform work independently. Understanding of methods & techniques, materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance and repair of electronic equipment. Technically inclined with great problem-solving skills Thorough knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures while using chemicals, power tools, hand tools and equipment Little to no consultation on decision making. Proficiently read, interpret, electrical schematics and drawings. Knowledge of industrial electrical systems

  • VOM•Oscilloscope•Soldering methods Works well independently and with others.

  • Ability to manage interpersonal conflict situations requiring tact, diplomacy, and discretion.

Ability to verbalize understanding of a problem or situation, ask relevant questions for clarification, and explain it to others. Follow instructions or work orders; and/or read routine sentences, instructions, regulations, or procedures. Complete routine job forms and incident reports; and/or communicate routine information regarding daily activities. Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices and Safety Data Sheets. Have proficient computer skills/knowledge for data entry (SAP, Word, Excel, Internet)
