Specific Job Duties:
  • Continuously improve automatedand other equipment by developing and implementing plans andprojects to revise controls, logic, processes, maintenance plans,mechanical devices, and other equipment components
  • increasereliability, safety, and/or capacity
  • reduce overall operationalcosts
  • Provide support as needed to the plant maintenancetechnicians and staff for the operation and maintenance of allautomated equipment to the extent that all KPI targets are met
  • Coordinate all technical activity and maintain accurate recordspertaining to automated equipment, including but not restricted tosoftware backups, board revisions, software revisions, ladderlogic, documentation and all associated interfaces
  • Develop,coordinate, and provide training for the plant maintenance team andother personnel regarding the design intent, operation,maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of the automatedequipment
  • Create and communicate work instructions for varioustasks as they pertain to the operation, troubleshooting, and upkeepof the automated equipment
  • Continuously review and consider newtechnologies as they apply to OPmobility. Present recommendationsas to their benefits along with feasibility and justification forsuch technologies
  • Provide automation support as required as itapplies to all other aspects of the current and any future systems
  • Work autonomously
  • develop, communicate, and integrateimprovements
  • Occasional travel for training as needed, seldommore than one week at a time.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Provide regular progress reports for projects
Skills andExperience:
  • Allen Bradley PLC equipment
  • Studio 5000 andControlLogix (hardware, software and ladder logic).
  • HMI softwarepackages
  • RS logics, Wonderware 8, PanelView 32 and Plus, WinCC
  • Fanuc, Kuka, and ABB robotics
  • Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WinCC
  • Field bus: Controlnet, Modbus, Profibus
  • Integration to injectionmachines (Husky, Engel, and Kraus)
  • Allen Bradley, Siemens, Pilz,Keyence, SICK, and Omron safety controls and devices
  • SEW,Siemens, Eaton, ABB VFDs
  • PC skills, MS applications
  • AutomotiveAssembly, Injection, and Paint a plus
  • Experience readinghydraulic and pneumatic prints preferred
  • Must be skilled atreading electrical and electronic schematics
  • Must havedemonstrated project and continuous improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skillsrequired.
