INSTRUMENTATION/MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
(Maintenance)
Clinton, South Carolina Job Summary:
An Instrumentation/Mechanical Technician will work alongside a team of I/M Technicians to learn the skills of the trade. In addition to regular equipment and mechanical maintenance, the responsibilities of this position will include extensive computer maintenance, data acquisition, test setup, and computer-based analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment Set up and execute test procedures, monitor results, and document findings Work with computer-based data acquisition systems to track and analyze test data Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of lab computer systems Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high attention to detail in all tasks Collaborate effectively within a team while also working independently as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
2-year degree or trade school certificate in mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, or computer science/technology Experience with hand and power tools, and basic industrial maintenance Basic knowledge of schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with LabVIEW, Python, coding in C, or other operating systems is a bonus Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar) is preferred Strong problem-solving skills to assess testing output relative to plans and specifications
