In addition to offering new and pre-owned textile machinery, they provide comprehensive repair and support services to keep operations running smoothly. Their in-house electronics repair team plays a critical role in that promise, bringing deep technical knowledge to the work of diagnosing and restoring highly specialized equipment. Position Overview Our client is seeking a skilled Bench Technician to join their electronics repair shop, located within their Spartanburg, SC campus. You’ll work alongside a well-established and senior technical team, focused on evaluating and repairing industrial electronics at the component level. Roughly 60% of the equipment you’ll handle will be proprietary to their textile systems-including weaving machines, winding and spinning systems, and sampling equipment. The remaining 40% will involve third-party devices, requiring strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar equipment independently. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electronic components down to the board level Evaluate units (both familiar and unfamiliar), document findings, and plan repairs Identify, order, and track parts required for repair Perform function and load testing of repaired units Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, repairs, and parts Collaborate with team members on larger or more complex repairs Equipment Types You’ll Work On Servo drives, VFDs, inverters, spindle drives, soft starts PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs, touchscreens, power supplies Teach pendants, chart recorders, temperature controllers, scanners, crane controls Industrial circuit boards from both proprietary and third-party systems Qualifications Demonstrated experience in component-level electronic repair Proficient in soldering and de-soldering, and reading electrical schematics Skilled in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and related tools Strong knowledge of components such as capacitors, resistors, transistors, relays, IGBTs, and optocouplers Associate degree or technical certification in industrial electronics or related field Ability to diagnose unfamiliar systems and work independently with minimal guidance Organized, detail-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced repair environment Benefits 3 weeks paid time off 12-15 paid holidays annually 10% company match on 401(k) contributions Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Opportunities for professional development and career growth
