Engineering TechnicianJob Description As an Engineering Technician, you will develop and test machinery and equipment under the direction of the engineering team. You will review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, the nature of technical problems, and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of materials or parts, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies. You will be responsible for electrical, mechanical, and hardware troubleshooting, diagnosing, and programming, as well as analyzing and diagnosing data provided from automated equipment. Additionally, you will support the engineering team in designing, developing, and building new machinery and equipment as needed. Responsibilities + Develop and test machinery and equipment under the direction of the engineering team. + Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problems, and possible solutions. + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and program electrical, mechanical, and hardware systems. + Analyze and diagnose data provided from automated equipment. + Support the engineering team in designing, developing, and building new machinery and equipment as needed. + Draft detailed drawings or sketches for drafting room completion or to request parts fabrication by machine, sheet metal, or wood shops. + Device, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, servosystems, machine tools, and measuring instruments. + Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control. + Analyze indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications. + Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods. Work Environment This role is based in an on-site manufacturing environment. You will be working with various technologies and equipment related to the development and testing of industrial machinery and components. The environment is dynamic and requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $40.00/hr.
