Job Description
Electronics Technician (VCR3) 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Johnson City, TN 37604 We’re seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support our engineering team with hands-on work in electronics diagnostics, testing, and repair. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented technician with a passion for solving real-world electronics challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair faults in electronic assemblies using test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters) Perform surface mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering, including under a microscope Build, maintain, and calibrate custom test rigs and circuits Assist engineers with R D activities including prototyping, assembly, and testing Support root cause analysis of returned units and customer-reported issues Collaborate with the database team to support development tasks Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation Keep equipment records updated and work area organized
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering 2+ years of hands-on experience in the electronics industry
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years of industry experience Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience with wiring, schematic reading, and assembly Proficiency in soldering and handling surface mount components Ability to work effectively alongside engineers and cross-functional teams #IND1
