SUMMARY A

Roof Repair Technician completes simple repairs and maintenance to residential roofs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:  Inspect low and steep-sloped systems including Shingles, TPO, PVC, and EPDM to identify damage, leaks, or areas in need of repair and/or cleaning.  Locate roof defects and perform basic repairs to damaged or worn roofing materials including flashings, drainage features, and roof penetrations  Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of roofs by removing debris, dirt, moss and algae growth.  Perform protective preventative services to roofs in order to extend the life of the roof.  Maintain accurate records of work performed including materials used, and time spent on services.  Communicate with homeowners explaining repair options and recommendations.  Maintain tools and equipment provided in good working condition.  Move/Load materials onto and off of roofs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND

ABILITIES

)  Ability to follow all BCR policies and procedures.  Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  Ability to consistently be at work and on time.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Excellent organizational skills.  Ability to work well with others as well as independently.  Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with specific deadlines.  Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.  Must be comfortable with heights and being on a roof.

FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING

• Highschool Diploma or GED required. • Minimum 2 years prior roofing repair experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

 Repeated bending, climbing ladders, and kneeling, etc.  Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time Pay:

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
