JOB SUMMARY

The bulk of responsibilities relateto support issues arising from a team of Drafters, Designers andEngineers. Issues range from basic desktop problems to softwaretroubleshooting, with an emphasis on Autodesk software, namelyAutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor. Will includetroubleshooting AV equipment in the conference rooms (projectors,sound systems, televisions, etc.). The individual in this role mustbe able to resolve technical issues to ensure their customerscomplete projects in a timely fashion. This role assists ourTransmission Design teams to efficiently navigate and work withapplications used to design Transmission specific projects.

Individual must be versatile, flexible, level-headed, calm, andable to help customers on a variety of technical issues on anas-needed basis.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support of internalcustomer interactions and business processes Design Tool Support

• Autodesk Tools (i.e., AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Raster Design,Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Inventor, etc.), Bluebeam, Spatial BusinessSystems, engineering analysis / design software, internallydeveloped software, etc. Design Hardware support
• workstations,mobile devices, plotters, printers, physical/virtual desktops forcontract firms, etc.

Rates:

$25.00

• $30.00 Work in theBirmingham office, 5 days per week, 8 hrs. per day. The Company’scontract will set work hours, with start times subject to changeperiodically during the job assignment. Starting times aregenerally between 7 am and 9 am, specifically set per thepreference of the Company’s contact. Education Requirements HighSchool diploma is required.
• 50% complete or fully complete with a2-year or 4-year degree in Engineering, Drafting, or Design relatedareas.
• Computer science training or experience is a plus.
• Experience Requirements
• Autodesk (namely AutoCAD, AutoCADElectrical, Inventor) experience, navigation, and troubleshootingstrongly preferred.
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolvingcomputer hardware and software issues.
• Experience maintaining PCand large-scale plotter hardware & software preferred.
• Experienceproviding customer support is preferred.
• Must have experiencewith multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities.
• Experiencewith setup and configuration of software applications (optional butpreferred).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Must beable to multi-task and prioritize issues. This position may requiresome bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolongedwalking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
