  • $30•$42/hr depending on experience About the Role We’re seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer with 1 to 5 years of experience to join our Conceptual Design team.

This role focuses on the early-stage design of electrical power systems for large-scale energy projects, including fossil, hydro, combined cycle, and renewable generation plants. You’ll contribute to the development of design documents, provide technical direction, and support project execution from concept through startup. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing electrical system designs: single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, layouts, and circuitry. Develop scope documents, budgets, schedules, and cost estimates. Provide technical guidance to engineers, designers, and drafters. Support system checkout and startup as needed. Coordinate with vendors and build strong working relationships. Lead or support project planning and execution with limited supervision. Ensure designs meet engineering standards and project objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. 1-5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, preferably in power generation. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, especially in power plant systems. Experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with CAD Overlay is a plus. Ability to manage design tasks on large-scale projects with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with scheduling, cost control, and project coordination. Familiarity with NEC and other industry standards. Ability to lead portions of projects and mentor junior staff. What We’re Looking For A self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
