Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The PLC Programmer is responsible for the development and successful implementation of PLC programming for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. What You Will Do Work with a team of design engineers to develop system control strategies. Develop Rockwell and Siemens PLC programs using: P&IDs, Sequence of operation documentation, Project plans and specifications, Customer requirements and standards. Perform integrations to different communication protocols, including (but not limited to) Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, BACnet. Collaborate with SCADA developers to implement HMI integration and control via a SCADA software. Develop simulation, bench test, factory acceptance test protocol documentation. Perform simulations, bench tests, factory witness tests, and on-site commissioning tests of each program. Position requires up to 30% travel to customer sites for deployment post-deployment support activities. What You Will Bring to
The Role Required:
2+ years of experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLC Understanding of BAS controls and Process Plant controls in different environments. Must be able to initiate and execute programming tasks either individually or as a team, fulfilling all necessary responsibilities to ensure successful client delivery. Must be able to read electrical, process control drawings, and P&IDs. Must have a good understanding of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and process systems. Good understanding of IT networks Experience with multiple communication protocols and Gateway networking
Modbus Ethernet/IP Profibus Bacnet Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science. Experience with DDC, Tridium, or other BAS control systems.
