As a Mechanical CAD Design Specialist, you’ll contribute to the design of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) stations that power communities across the globe. This is an onsite role and requires presence in the office at least 4 days a week. How you’ll make an impact Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for HVDC station components Collaborate on station layouts and building requirements for onshore and offshore projects Support civil designers with technical inputs and installation drawings Apply design standards and safety protocols to every project Deliver high-quality CAD outputs using advanced tools like NX/TC Contribute to the development of modular and standardized structures Ensure project milestones are met with precision and efficiency Embody our core values of safety, integrity, and teamwork Your background Associate degree or 3D modeling certification with at least 2 years of experience Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting using NX/TC software Experience in substation or HV/EHV engineering projects Familiarity with manufacturing and production processes Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Willingness to work onsite at least 4 days per week Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States More about us We pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
