Controls EngineerJob Description The Controls Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and packaging equipment, serving as a subject matter expert in PLC, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics usage. This role focuses on promoting continuous improvement efforts through the use of preventative maintenance processes. Responsibilities + Manage and maintain manufacturing and packaging equipment. + Serve as a subject matter expert in PLC, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics. + Implement and oversee preventative maintenance processes. + Promote continuous improvement efforts in equipment usage and maintenance. Essential Skills + Proficiency in PLC programming and automation. + Experience with Allen-Bradley systems. + Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and automation systems. + Knowledge of controls for conveyor systems and power transmissions. + Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and valves. + Familiarity with RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 500, or RS Logix 5. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Minimum of 2 years experience in PLC programming. + Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment The position operates on a day shift with flexibility to determine hours. The engineer must be reasonably available for issues off hours, though most problems can be resolved remotely. There is flexibility for days or weekends where availability is not required, as long as it is not a constant absence. The work environment includes a brand new facility, reflecting investment in the team and business. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 – $48.00/hr.
