We are expanding to the greater Pittsburgh area, and we are looking for local candidates to support this expansion. Our staff consists of registered engineers, engineers in training, project managers, field and shop technicians, designers, drafters, and support staff. We provide engineering and engineered products for heavy industry, oil and gas, and municipal customers throughout the US. Position Description The Electrical Designer works in a team environment completing electrical design and drafting projects and documentation. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have industrial experience. Duties will require a high degree of interpersonal and technical skills, communication, and organization. Qualifications An AAS Degree/Diploma in Design/Drafting or equivalent 2+ years (Electrical Designer) electrical drafting experience in industrial or consulting environments. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam Time management skills to complete work error-free within required timeframes. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at a time. Excellent communication skills along with a willingness to go the extra mile to provide and manage project information. Must be authorized to work in the United States Responsibilities Complete one-line diagrams, panel layouts, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams. Work closely with project teams, contributing to design and drafting of Electrical projects. Follow UL standards during panel designs for panels that will be built in our UL508A shop. Support shop technicians with panel design / build questions. Complete construction documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Identify areas of improvement and add to the team environment. Work will include up to 10% travel throughout the US on average for field verification activities.
