In the role of Electrical BIM Designer we’ll count on you to: Create electrical drawings for facilities such as lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) Develop entry-level drawings by using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Electrical Technicians or Engineers Perform other duties as Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience Has knowledge of procedures for production of design developments and construction documents, a thorough knowledge of engineering planning, modeling, and detailing Strong computer skills in Revit – Microsoft Office, AutoCAD desired Database familiarity a plus Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts What We Believe HDR is our company.
