PLC Programmer Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

Job Title:

PLC Programmer Job Description Actalent is seeking an experienced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Programmer. As a PLC Programmer, you will write PLC programs for automation equipment and install these programs alongside a Technician. You will also be responsible for testing system efficiency as required. Success in this role requires a sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, fault-finding skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. Responsibilities + Write and install PLC programs for automation equipment. + Test system efficiency and troubleshoot issues as needed. + Assist the maintenance department with preventative maintenance duties. + Work with the engineering team on process improvement initiatives. + Implement projects and ensure their successful completion. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of PLC programming experience. + Ability to program from scratch. + Mechanical and electrical PLC troubleshooting experience. + Strong troubleshooting and programming skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Self-sufficient as the only PLC programmer at the plant. + Visible to the floor and other departments, requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills. Work Environment The position is based in a smaller plant environment, requiring the ability to walk up stairs and stand on the floor for extended periods. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with potential adjustments of 30 minutes earlier or later. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 – $43.27/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
