The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and troubleshooting PLC systems, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the reliability of automated processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to support our manufacturing operations. Duties Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for various automated systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC operations and control systems. Maintain and optimize existing PLC programs to improve performance and reliability. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and integrate control systems for new projects. Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to detect electrical issues within systems. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on high voltage equipment and distributed control systems. Provide technical support for hydraulic systems and mechanical components associated with automation. Document all programming changes, system modifications, and maintenance activities. Skills Proficient in programming languages used for PLCs, such as ladder logic or structured text. Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits. Mechanical knowledge to understand the interaction between software and hardware components. Experience working with hydraulics & welding in an industrial setting is desirable. Background as an industrial electrician is advantageous for understanding complex systems. Ability to maintain high voltage equipment safely while adhering to industry standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
