Role:
You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality electrical design work across various projects. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle — from concept through to detailed design and site support.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the design of electrical building services systems Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings, and specifications Assisting with the coordination of electrical services with other disciplines Attending design meetings and liaising with clients and external consultants Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices Contributing to energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions This is a hybrid role, based in Birmingham with flexibility for remote work.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in electrical building services design, ideally within a consultancy environment Good knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and design software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux, Revit) Strong communication and organisational skills A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally Degree (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline Working toward professional registration (IEng or CEng) would be beneficial This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate-level engineer to grow within a supportive environment, working on technically challenging and rewarding projects that make a real impact
