Kratos Defense & Rockets Support Services (KDRSS) is seeking a highly qualified individual to assume the role of “Electrical Engineer Mid-Level,” providing support to the National Capital Region – Integrated Air Defense System (NCR-IADS) Management and Integration Cell (MIC). The Electrical Engineer Mid-Level will collaborate with the Senior Electrical Engineer and the Task Order Lead (TOL) to offer professional engineering, technical, and programmatic assistance to the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command’s (USASMDC) Center of Excellence (CoE) and the
NCR-IADS
program. This support is crucial for the sustainment of the
NCR-IADS
MIC and the
NCR-IADS
mission requirements including the validation of missile defense-related components, and the conduct of basic and applied research to assess equipment adaptability to
NCR-IADS
mission critical requirements The responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer Mid-Level fall under the category of Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support services. If selected, the candidate must quickly grasp the USASMDC CoE’s mission and the support it provides to the NCR-IADS, as well as understand the practices, policies, and procedures of the supported MIC. Flexibility and promptness in responding to mission needs within a demanding and evolving environment are paramount. The selected individual must be able to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating across MIC team members and external agencies tied to the NCR-IADS.The Electrical Engineer Mid-Level is required to possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant
NCR-IADS
systems and their integration into the Homeland Defense architectures in support of the
NCR-IADS.
Familiarity with both US Army Air Defense doctrine and US Air Force doctrine is essential. Additionally, demonstrated experience in a Joint Test & Evaluation environment supporting both ground and air solutions under test is necessary. The candidate must also possess in-depth knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) and understand its integration into a unique architecture. Experience operating and integrating the Avenger Weapon System and/or the Sentinel Radar are both desired backgrounds for this position, to include the PCR and AVDAS.Furthermore, the Electrical Engineer Mid-Level should be capable of providing advice and assistance in the development of

unique configurations and information distribution systems within an urban environment. Travel is expected to be a part of this position and will include tactical field site locations. Knowledge of US Army Air Defense Weapons Systems, Air Forces Command & Control Systems and the tactical systems and applications to properly employ integrated defensive Fires, to include a working knowledge of US Army Fires Concepts, Joint Fires Concepts is required.

+ BA/BS from an accredited university in a technical field. Engineering degrees are preferred. + Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience. + Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
+ Relevant experience contributing to Army and/or Joint programs, systems or large scale events, to include those events or systems that incorporate designing, integrating and operating government and commercial hardware and software solutions for operational, testing, experimentation and/or demonstration purposes to include analyzing systems and technologies related to one or more of the Management Integration Cell’s (MIC) portfolio. + Understanding of hardware and system requirements for the
NCR-IADS.
Demonstrated understanding and experience operating and integrating Air and Missile Defense tactical systems (e.g. Sentinel Radar and its interfaces, Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD)) and each system’s unique integration requirements to include designing / configuring network interfaces, tactical radio adapter connections and radio network configurations etc.) + Must demonstrate a deep understanding of MS Office products for planning, configuration documentation, briefings and reporting. + Must be willing to create event reports and provide briefings to peers, superiors and external agencies as required.
PREFERRED
+ Experience planning, designing, implementing and managing tactical data link networks, to include Link-16 networks and associated interfaces, to include RF and JREAP protocols, between tactical systems and commercial software applications is desired. + An understanding of and experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes is desired to include experience running Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans, updating Operating Systems (OS) with necessary IAVA updates, documenting installed software versions, assisting with the forecasting of future software version updates etc. + IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Security +, Network +) are desired but not required. + Prefer candidates with documented
NCR-IADS
experience, particularly those with hand-on experience supporting system components, sub-components, software applications etc.
