Job Description
Provide systems level EMC/EMI support to the NASA Spaceflight Programs. Duties will include EMC analysis, test planning, and circuit test and analysis. Candidate will evaluate test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. In addition, progress reports and schedules will be prepared to support design reviews and team meetings.
Job Requirements:
A BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an ABET accredited institution is required. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a PhD with at least 9 years of experience, a MS with at least 13 years of experience, or a BS with at least 15 years of experience.
Candidate must have experience in EMC analysis, EMC test planning and procedures, and critical circuit test and analysis as related to space or flight hardware and systems.
Must have experience in evaluating test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring.
Must be proficient with PC and appropriate software programs. Experience with ISS hardware and payloads is a plus.
Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and -462 is a plus.
