Davidson is seeking a Mid-Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to assist in the development of a new manufacturing line for electromechanical components. In this role, you will work to design, analyze, test, and integrate electrical components while working and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions and troubleshoot complex issues that arise during project execution
You will analyze production data and engage in technical discussions to refine designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and production goals, while also participating in regular project status meetings and reviews.
Your schedule will typically consist of four 10-hour shifts, allowing you to enjoy extended weekends for work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities:
Electrical design, simulation, verification and validation testing of high-speed printed circuit boards (PCB) and/or circuit card assemblies (CCA)
Collaborate across functional teams to include other engineering disciplines
Remain knowledgeable and current on industry best-practices and technological advancements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering, math, or related field
Experience in Product Development Cycles
5+ years experience in Electrical Design Automation (EDA) Tools to include layout and routing with Mentor Graphic (or alternate PCB tool), Altium, PSPICE, utilized to perform schematic capture, PCB design and Layout, as well as circuit simulation
5+ years experience in design, test, and integration of digital Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) or Printed Circuit Boards; using timing culture techniques for high-speed designs to include bandwidth, throughput, and data movement
3+ years experience in design concepts/techniques including concurrent engineering and Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/A)
Processor board design, PCB Design, experience providing design guidelines and support for system architecture design, board layout, product bring-up, debug, validation, and factory builds
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action
Working knowledge of
IEEE315/315A
; IEEE Std 91/91A and AS9100
Desired Competencies:
Knowledge of high-speed digital circuit design; performing signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards (100G Ethernet, DDR2/3/4, PCIe)
Experience with HyperLynx Signal / Power Integrity; Printed Wiring Boards (PWB); circuit card assemblies; rigid flex board, or harness
MSEE, MSCE
Possess the ability to develop design verification plans and perform system integration
Experience with Hardware-Software Integration; FPGA sizing and power to support board design
Competency in performing post board layout signal integrity analysis
Ability to work with peers to solve general Electrical Engineering problems using failure analysis, simulation, and validation activities throughout product development cycles

Currently hold or be able to obtain Secret Clearance
