Leidos’ Defense Systems Sensor Innovation Portfolio is seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to join our team to create unique solutions forplex sensor and radar orientated problems. Primary Responsibilities:

Support Advanced Technology Radar and EW programs including research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, high-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysis
Integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems; and

CONUS/OCONUS

deployment of advanced sensor systems.
The Engineer in this role is expected to quickly immerse into radar and sensor phenomenology and our existing tools and models to begin contributing to new features.
A variety of tasks related to signal processing, measurement tracker processing, system performance metrics, sensor simulation, or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals will be assigned.
Organizational skills will be paramount and managing multiple tasks while ensuring the work remainspatible with the group’s larger codebases.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering,puter engineering, physics, or math from an accredited institution with at least 4 -8 years prior relevant experience OR a Master’s degree in electrical engineering,puter engineering, physics, or math with 2-6 years prior relevant experience
Goodanizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background.
Demonstrated experience developing and leading a team of talented employees to provide high-end technical services in apetitive environment.
Enabling technologies including radar and EW, signal processing and tracking, physics modeling & simulation, analytical tool development, and data analysis.
Must have excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in one or more of the following: signals and systems, digital signal processing, tracking algorithms, electromagnetics
Should be able to one or more of these skills to the areas of radar modeling & simulation, antenna array theory, digital signal processing, tracking, algorithm development, and field testing of sensor systems.
Demonstrated experience in understanding, evaluating, and implementing published scientific literature from sources such as IEEE is highly valued.
Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or scienced based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics are valued.
Candidate must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Must be a US citizen, be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

List additional skills and experience that are “nice to have” but not required.
Experience in radar system development and/or modeling.
Experience in high performanceputing languages such as C++.
Experience in development or operations of radar HWILs.
Technical writing experience
