What You’ll Do Design, size and safely implement low and medium voltage power systems.”
Ensure that installations and applications are in line with governing codes including NEC and NFPA.
Responsible for the design, construction, commissioning, and startup activities of capital projects
Responsible for system upgrades in electrical power generation, distribution systems, low voltage, and electrical machinery
Interact with technical engineers and non-technical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems
Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment
Maintain and revise instruction manuals, drawings, schematics, maintenance logs, and other documentation, as required
Provides technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed
Create and maintain electrical drawings and schematics
Manage large scale capital projects including working with outside vendors
What You’ll Need Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Proficiency with AutoCAD 2016 or later
Must be able to learn quickly, multitask and utilize time wisely
Have a strong background with technical writing to be able to write documents for operations and maintenance, explaining new or modified equipment
Experienced with field work and understanding the customer’s needs
Ability to work within project scope and budget
Experience in the industrial manufacturing and/or process industry preferred
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Previous experience upgrading Siemens S7-300 PLCs to S7-1500
Siemens PLC Programming including Simatic Manager and TIA Portal V15.1 thru V18
The preferred candidate will also have some mechanical background and knowledge
Your Education Bachelor’s Degree required, BSEE or BSME
