ABOUT THE ROLE

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all electricalmaintenance activities at the plant. They will ensure electricalproject work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely mannerand in compliance with environmental requirements and to workcooperatively to plan, schedule, and execute all control systemactivities in the plant in order to maximize equipment utilizationand reliability. The Electrical Engineer will also be a part of the Holcim USBuild4Growth Program. This is an extensive, 16-month cementmanufacturing learning and development program designed to providenew graduate engineers with foundational knowledge and experienceon the main operational areas of our cement plants. This program isbuilt on a blended learning approach including online learning,face-to-face sessions, on-the-job assignments, and projects.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to safety policies in all work environments andareas. Promote safety with all other employees and outsidecontractors. Promote electrical safety and safe work practices in theworkplace with subordinates. Responsible for supervising the electrical and instrumentationtechnicians in the execution of daily work orders and projectsassigned by the maintenance coordinator. Electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Thisincludes conducting systematic inspections on all plant electricalequipment, collection of quantitative data, its’ organization andanalysis using a variety of traditional as well as technicallyadvanced diagnostic tools. Responsible for the accurate documentation of electricalschematics and stores spare parts inventory. Ensure all system programming meets with proper environmentalcompliance. Maintain system documentation including but not limited tomaster equipment files, regulatory compliance files, equipmentspecifications, and repair history Evaluate computer control equipment and their components toassure they meet the plant requirements. Define, write and implement changes to existing process controlprograms. Provide control system training and guidance for plantpersonnel. Troubleshoot control system hardware and software problems.
