26481 ? ? Summary Lincoln Electric is growing the Plant Engineeringteam and has outstanding opportunities for an experiencedElectrical Engineering Technologist. Our Plant Engineering team isresponsible for implementing capital projects and providingengineering support for the Consumable and Machine divisions ofCleveland Operations. Electrical Engineering Technologists play acrucial role in designing the electrical systems for equipment usedin manufacturing welding machines and consumables, ensuring thatthe production floor equipment adheres to corporate objectivesrelated to safety, health, productivity, quality, and continuousimprovement. What You Will Do As an Electrical EngineeringTechnologist, you will collaborate in a team environment to designand support industrial electrical systems, which includes varioustypes of equipment new and old.
Specific responsibilities include:
Modify solutions to improve equipment reliability, safety,ergonomics, and compliance with
ISO 14001, ISO
450001, and otherEHS initiatives. Provide technical support to Production,Maintenance, and IT departments, reducing downtime and improvingsystem performance. Maintain, modify and update PLC, VFD, and HMIprograms using various control automation platforms, includingRockwell, Siemens, and Beijer. Update and support NationalInstruments LabVIEW code for testing applications and equipment.
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, IT, MES,and Production teams to support facility projects. Apply NECknowledge for planning industrial equipment installations and workwith electricians to update documentation. Supply project leaderswith capital cost estimates and timelines, and review capitalequipment quotations. Lead projects or project steps, solve complexproblems, and act as a resource for colleagues with lessexperience. Manage outside engineering and construction personnel,ensuring all safety, health, environmental, and compliance aspectsmeet regulations. Integrate equipment into data collection systemsand establish network topologies. Support network backup, devicepatching management, and control system asset inventory. Compiledata from connected devices for organizational use and developstandards for control systems hardware and software. Identify andassume additional responsibilities for projects and processes thatalign with and drive towards Lincoln Electric Company’s 2025 HigherStandard Goals. Education & Experience Requirements Minimum of aBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3 yearsof professional experience. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical CADsoftware. Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and test equipment,including Rockwell Automation software, Siemens software, andNational Instruments LabVIEW. Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 79,and other technical codes. Knowledge of basic networking conceptsand SQL Database. Skills Demonstrate initiative and acceptresponsibilities with minimal supervision. Strong ownership andresults-driven mindset. Good judgment, self-motivation, and safetyconsciousness. Excellent organizational skills. Superior writtenand oral communication abilities. Adaptability to handle diverseassignments and changing priorities. Hands-on work capability andeffective collaboration on the shop floor. Critical thinking andexceptional problem-solving skills. Proficiency in supporting andtroubleshooting industrial equipment. Flexibility to work offshifts, travel between facilities in Northeast Ohio, and asrequired.
