Our Plant Engineering team is responsible forimplementing capital projects and providing engineering support forthe Consumable and Machine divisions of Cleveland Operations.

Electrical Engineers play a crucial role in designing theelectrical systems for equipment used in manufacturing weldingmachines and consumables, ensuring that the production floorequipment adheres to corporate objectives related to safety,health, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement. What You Will DoAs an Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate in a teamenvironment to design and support industrial electrical systems,which includes various types of equipment new and old.

Specificresponsibilities include:

Engineer solutions to improve equipmentreliability, safety, ergonomics, and compliance with ISO 14001, ISO450001, and other EHS initiatives. Provide technical support toProduction, Maintenance, and IT departments, reducing downtime andimproving system performance. Develop, design, and update PLC, VFD,and HMI programs using various control automation platforms,including Rockwell, Siemens, and Beijer. Update and maintainNational Instruments LabVIEW code for testing applications andequipment. Interface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance,IT, MES, and Production teams to support facility projects. ApplyNEC knowledge for planning industrial equipment installations andwork with electricians to update documentation. Supply projectleaders with capital cost estimates and timelines, and reviewcapital equipment quotations. Lead projects or project steps, solvecomplex problems, and act as a resource for colleagues with lessexperience. Manage outside engineering and construction personnel,ensuring all safety, health, environmental, and compliance aspectsmeet regulations. Integrate equipment into data collection systemsand establish network topologies. Support network backup, devicepatching management, and control system asset inventory. Compiledata from connected devices for organizational use and developstandards for control systems hardware and software. Identify andassume additional responsibilities for projects and processes thatalign with and drive towards Lincoln Electric Company’s 2025 HigherStandard Goals. Assumes additional responsibilities as needed ordirected in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy. Education &Experience Requirements Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree inElectrical Engineering with 3 years of professional experience.

Experience with AutoCAD Electrical CAD software. Experience withPLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and test equipment, including Rockwell Automationsoftware, Siemens software, and National Instruments LabVIEW.Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 79, and other technical codes.

Knowledge of basic networking concepts and SQL Database. SkillsDemonstrate initiative and accept responsibilities with minimalsupervision. Strong ownership and results-driven mindset. Goodjudgment, self-motivation, and safety consciousness. Excellentorganizational skills. Superior written and oral communicationabilities. Adaptability to handle diverse assignments and changingpriorities. Hands-on work capability and effective collaboration onthe shop floor. Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solvingskills. Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting industrialequipment. Flexibility to work off shifts, travel betweenfacilities in Northeast Ohio, and as required.
