Electrical Engineer Job Description As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, electrical engineers, and product managers, to bring cutting-edge products to market. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with a strong background in hardware design, testing, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Design and develop hardware components, including PCBs, circuits, and systems, in accordance with project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware with software and other components. Create prototypes for hardware components and conduct thorough testing to validate design concepts. Identify and troubleshoot hardware-related issues, implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance. Maintain detailed documentation of hardware designs, testing procedures, and outcomes. Work with the documentation team to create user manuals and technical documentation for hardware products. Collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to product development. Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to improve overall product quality. Ensure that hardware designs comply with industry standards, Mil standards, safety regulations, and other relevant guidelines. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement. Essential Skills 10+ years of experience in hardware design, development, and testing. Proven experience in PCB Design. Proficient in using design and simulation tools such as Altium, Cadence, and SPICE. Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design. Experience in designing with Microprocessors, FPGAs, and other embedded systems. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
