Distribution Engineer Position Available In Hillsborough, Florida

Distribution Engineer Job Description We are seeking four experienced Distribution Engineers to join a dynamic team in the Tampa market. As a Distribution Engineer, you will be responsible for performing analysis, staking, design for overhead and underground systems, and providing pole relocation support for utilities across the United States. Ideal candidates will possess a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, and hold an engineering degree from an ABET accredited university. Responsibilities + Perform analysis, staking, and design for both overhead and underground utility systems. + Provide support for pole relocation projects. + Collaborate with stakeholders on project requirements and deliverables. + Travel 5-10% of the time to stake projects and provide on-site support. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) from an ABET accredited university. + 2-3 years of experience in distribution design, with Duke experience being a plus. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Suite, and PowerPoint. + Strong communication skills and initiative. + Critical thinking and openness to feedback and learning. + Experience with pole analysis, pole relocation, and pole replacement. + Understanding of electrical engineering concepts related to utilities and power delivery. + Ability to work effectively in team settings and independently. Work Environment Work is conducted in an office environment with a standard 40-hour workweek, though some overtime may be required dependent on deliverables and must be approved by leadership. After six months, a hybrid schedule may be considered based on performance. The role requires candidates to be present in the office five days per week initially. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $41.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
