Job Details
Electrical Design Engineer
A growing MEP engineering firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the team. The types of projects include infrastructure upgrades for commercial buildings, universities, health-care facilities, and sports and entertainment venues. The ideal candidate will have experience in field surveys, system selection as well as the development of engineering drawings and specifications required for bidding and construction. Experience in a consulting engineering environment is desired.
Ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and client-centric attitude.
Educational Qualification and Experience 9+ years’ experience Ability to perform detailed punch-list constituting construction observation reports Experience in reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs Ability to review work of others Oversees setup of AGi32 files and performs detailed lighting layouts Experience using SKM or EasyPower is a plus Ability to complete medium voltage and generator designs Experience with Power Distribution System design Performs layouts of devices and equipment Performs circuiting of lighting, devices, and equipment Coordinates layout and power requirements of mechanical equipment Performs layout of fire alarm devices Sizes equipment, circuit breakers, conduits, and conductors Performs load calculations Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit Ability to meet tight deadlines Good communication skills and can communicate directly with clients Ability to manage work on multiple projects simultaneously Manages projects independently Ability to produce drawings independently Must be abreast of latest trends in electrical engineering, Florida Energy Code, and NFPA Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering PE registration required
