Job Description Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects. Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and strive for better design quality and efficiency. Identify and resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions. Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts. Influence project teams on engineering tasks. Work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls. Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing, ensure clear communication, and propose solutions Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements. Handle other assigned duties as needed. Travel 10% of the time for project specific duties. Skills and Requirements Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (Masters Preferred) 7+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design. Proficient in ETAP, PSCAD and PSSE software Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters.
