Electrical Studies Engineer – Energy Storage Juno Beach , Florida, United States 1258438 Renewables – Solar Contract 6 hour ago Airswift is seeking an Electrical Studies Engineer to work for a leading renewable energy developer on a long-term contractual basis remotely.

Overview:

Seeking an experienced electrical studies engineer to support utility-scale battery storage projects. This role involves preparing and reviewing technical studies—such as arc flash, reactive power, and transient overvoltage (TOV) analyses—to ensure the safety, efficiency, and performance of a growing energy storage portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and review electrical studies for large-scale battery energy storage systems.
Lead design efforts and improve the quality and efficiency of engineering deliverables.
Identify and resolve design and study-related issues.
Develop technical scopes of work and contribute to contract development.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical problems and integrate systems.
Support permitting, procurement, and site design with technical insights.
Travel up to 10% for project-related activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of experience in solar/PV engineering or construction.
Expertise in power electronics, battery storage design, substations, or generation tie lines.
Proficient in ETAP, PSCAD, and PSSE.
Familiar with battery technologies, safety standards (e.g., UL, NFPA, NEC), and relevant IEC standards.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage complex technical tasks independently.
