Due to recent organizational changes, a newly created opportunity is available for an I&E Lead to bring technical expertise and leadership to a team of approximately twelve professionals. This team supports major capital projects across three U.S. facilities. We are seeking a seasoned subject matter expert (SME) who enjoys mentoring, teaching, and guiding others. Whether your background is rooted in instrumentation or electrical engineering/power distribution, the key requirement is strong experience in I&E design and a history of supporting large-scale capital projects ($2.5M+). Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the I&E team supporting large capital projects. Guide and standardize I&E design practices across multiple facilities. Play an active role in shaping project protocols and ensuring best practices are consistently applied. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across all stages of project development and execution. Travel as needed (approximately 25%), generally involving short domestic trips and occasional international assignments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory. Minimum of 8 years of industry experience, ideally within chemical processing, though candidates from EPC firms or licensing organizations will also be considered. Recognized SME-level knowledge in either instrumentation or electrical/power distribution (instrumentation strongly preferred). Strong computer proficiency; familiarity with database-driven design systems is highly valued. Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%, typically for short durations.
