Description:
World Centric is a leader in providing innovative compostable packaging solutions for the food service industry. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Controls Engineering contractor for part time R D projects on an as-needed basis. The role will perform project work onsite in Stone Mountain, GA (greater Atlanta metro area) for practical purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in wiring and assembling electrical control cabinets and components according to schematics and industry standards
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical control systems and equipment for proper operation including wiring, component, or control logic issues
Perform functional tests on newly installed or repaired systems to verify proper operation and safety
Maintain a strong focus on electrical safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support equipment upgrades and system improvements
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Experience in wiring electrical control panels, troubleshooting control systems, or similar industrial electrical work
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Familiarity with industrial control components (PLCs, relays, breakers, contactors, sensors, etc.)
Strong understanding of electrical safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E)
