Summary:
Seeking a Controls Engineer to work on contract, focusing on Rockwell Automation systems and 480VAC power system design, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Job Requirements:
Proficiency with Rockwell Automation hardware and software, specifically: Studio 5000 Professional FactoryTalk Asset Centre PowerFlex 52x and 75x VFDs Centerline and IntelliCenter MCCs GuardLogix Safety Hardware ControlLogix Hardware Experience in: Designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of 480VAC power systems including motor controls, panel boards, transformers up to 1600A branch circuit feeders.
Ability to interpret:
P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) Electrical schematics PLC I/O sheets Ethernet network schematics Knowledge of instrumentation selection, configuration, calibration and troubleshooting including: Flowmeters & Weigh scales
Temperature Transmitters & Pressure Transmitters Preferred Skills:
Proficiency with Modicon PLC hardware and software such as Unity, ProWORX, Concept. Experience with iFix SCADA including iFix HMI, Proficy Historian. Familiarity with Thin Manager & Thin Clients as well as Remote Server Systems. Background in Batching, Continuous Process Control and High-Speed Packaging operations. Experience working in Hazardous Locations dealing with explosive gases/dusts is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of the Controls Manager to fulfill project requirements. Participate in all phases of project lifecycle from design through to commissioning and troubleshooting. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of control systems into overall plant operations.
