Key Responsibilities:
Analyze electrical loadsand power requirements for automation equipment and facilitiesDesign power systems, including distribution, switchgear,switchboards, panel boards and MCC’s Perform power flow, harmonics,and stability studies to ensure system reliability and preventblackouts Select and specify electrical components such asswitchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and protective relaysUse design tools like Siemens Encompass and/or Square D’s SEAdvantage to design power systems Develop and implement protectionschemes to safeguard equipment and personnel Liaise with mechanicaland control engineers to coordinate power system integration withautomation controls Perform short-circuit calculations and analysisto size protective devices and ensure system safety Stay up-to-dateon the latest technologies and advancements in power systems,including renewable energy integration and microgrids Preparetechnical reports and documentation for projects Collaborate withinternal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or arelated field. Minimum 3 years of experience in power systemsengineering for industrial or commercial applications. Strongunderstanding of power system theory, including power generation,transmission, distribution, and utilization principles. Proficiencyin power system analysis software tools such as PSCAD, PSS/E, orETAP. Ability to perform short-circuit calculations and applyprotective device coordination principles. Proficient in AutoCADElectrical Familiarity with electrical codes and standards:
UL1558,UL891, UL67, UL845, UL 508A
Excellent communication andcollaboration skills. Ability to work independently and managemultiple projects simultaneously. Analytical and problem-solvingskills. Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
