Job Purpose:
Direct responsibility for a range of facility infrastructure needs – such as Main Utility Equipment(Electrical Equipment, Air Compressor, Vacuum Pump), HVAC. Responsible for the upkeep and repair of plant/ production equipment and the performing of preventive/predictive maintenance as required, preventing unnecessary downtime. Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment Spare room management Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed): Ensure that main utility processes are carried out in the safest, most time-efficient and cost-effective way possible through review and modification of existing processes, as well as design and implementation of new procedures or improvements The day-to-day running of the facility, may have budgetary responsibilities and duties around optimizing operational efficiency. Will be involved in the development of new facilities, planning and implementing the facility infrastructure and utility systems. Responsible for mechanical repair of Plant/ Production equipment Perform preventative maintenance Install, maintain and repair equipment including, but not limited to, piping, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. All tasks performed will be in strict accordance with any internal policies and SOPs as well as any relevant external regulations. To ensure full compliance, maintaining accurate documentation for their tasks is an important part of the role. Review and monitoring of current processes to optimize efficiency Scheduling of routine maintenance Troubleshooting any issues with the plant utility systems Analysis of potential improvements Design of new processes or procedures across the facility Responsibility to ensure plant utility systems meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and upper levels of Management for potentials and job objectives. Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in engineering is preferred or degree in related field. Knowledge of machine tools use and standard practices required. Must have working knowledge of Industrial MRO manufacturers and product lines Must have understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components for determination of suppliers.
Technical Competencies:
Good understanding of Plant Equipment support systems such as- HVAC, Air Compressors, Electrical Wiring, Good Computer skills – Power Point, Excel, Word, etc. Knowledge of pertinent codes and
