Not Available Elevate Your Career in I&C Engineer III Join our dynamic team as an I&C Engineer III, where you will play a pivotal role in executing engineering projects for a leading company in the energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in instrumentation and controls while working locally in Lake Charles, United States, on a full-time contract basis. Role Overview Execute projects per the project FEL process and ensure conformance with required standards and recommended engineering practices. Direct the development of AFD and AFE quality project estimates, participate in annual capital long-range plan development, and ongoing project funding approvals. Coordinate the FEL and detailed engineering with mechanical, civil, instrument, and electrical resources to ensure assigned projects are technically sound, cost-effective, and customer-focused. Develop project execution plans and project milestone schedules. Ensure project scope and cost are controlled and change is managed. Provide project-specific turnaround and construction support as required. Establish project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines aligned with capital strategies. Successfully manage competing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously. Ensure interface with technical consultants, area resources, and operations. Coordinate MOC process for assigned projects. Design or approve design by others of Safety Instrumented Systems. Provide consultation to refinery for instrumentation issues. Responsible for the design and implementation of process instrumentation and control systems. Ensure designs provide the most reliable and cost-effective instrument and control systems. Support process designers in developing process design specifications, develop operating and training manuals. Write purchase and construction specifications, write, and perform Factory Acceptance Tests. Perform audits of instrumentation installations and process control loops. Skills & Qualifications MOC (Management of Change) Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Safety Instrumented Systems (optional) Process Instrumentation and Control Systems (optional) Education & Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field (Chemical or Civil). 5-10 years of experience required. 2 or more years of maintenance and/or engineering experience with an emphasis on instrumentation and controls; or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
