POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5-10 years of experience in marine electrical design. The candidate will perform engineering design and oversee the manufacture, construction, and installation of shipboard electrical systems, focusing on power distribution, automation, control systems, and electronics.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in marine electrical design
Familiarity with
CFR, ABS, NVIC, USCG, MIL-STD, IEEE
rules, and other applicable regulations
Ability to develop and interpret electrical design documents and drawings SKILLS Strong understanding of power distribution, automation, control systems, and electronics in a marine context
Proficiency in developing calculations, system-level diagrams, I/O schedules, functional design diagrams, and termination drawings
Ability to coordinate and integrate multiple systems and subsystems
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to marine electrical systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform engineering design for shipboard electrical systems, including power distribution, automation, control systems, and electronics
Oversee the manufacture, construction, and installation of electrical systems on ships
Develop and integrate calculations, system-level diagrams, I/O schedules, functional design diagrams, and termination drawings
Support all production and testing activities related to electrical systems
Coordinate and integrate with primary system and multiple subsystem manufacturers to ensure proper and complete interface among all systems
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including
CFR, ABS, NVIC, USCG, MIL-STD, IEEE
