MSHS Pacific Power Group MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer, Controls (Level 2) to join our dynamic team in Kent, Washington. In this role, you’ll lead the execution of complex control system retrofit projects—from concept through commissioning—focusing on Woodward and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI systems, and auxiliary control systems. This position combines technical depth, project leadership, and customer interaction. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality, engineered solutions across marine, power generation, and industrial markets. Key Responsibilities
Support the sales process through requirements gathering, scope definition, estimating, and quote development
Manage the full project lifecycle: BOM creation, mechanical/electrical design, drawings, manuals, and documentation
Provide in-house technical support to sales, service teams, and customers
Lead on-site field service and commissioning activities globally
Execute software development and system integration for PLC, HMI, SCADA, and power management solutions
Deliver training and support for customers and internal stakeholders
Maintain focus on quality, safety, and documentation throughout the project Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience,
OR 7+ years of practical experience in power generation, automation, or related industries
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with
PLC/HMI/SCADA
programming, Woodward GAP, Function Block, and ladder logic
Familiarity with marine propulsion and power management systems-preferred
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and Passport Compensation & Benefits

$90,000 – $120,000 per year, based on skills and experience
