2015 Modern Manufacturing Facility We have a Project Engineer & Technical Services Lead position available in our Winslow, ME facility. The Project Engineer & Technical Services Lead ensures that all electrical & mechanical drawings from customers are thoroughly analyzed and verified. This role is responsible for ensuring the Bill of Materials (BOM) is accurate and complete and for preparing detailed shop floor fabrication documentation and instructions for fabrication and assembly. The Project Engineer & Technical Services Lead plays a critical role in translating designs into actionable instructions for electrical and mechanical technicians and coordinating with various departments to resolve issues and streamline production processes. In addition to Technical Services responsibilities, this position will have Project Engineering and Project Management tasks assigned and will assist in managing multiple projects related to custom manufactured electrical control panels and modular buildings. Project Engineering Responsibilities Analyze and review electrical and mechanical drawings provided by customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Verify that the BOM contains all necessary parts for all projects (electrical panels, e-houses, etc.). Create detailed shop floor lists for harness preparation, including wire cutting, labeling, and panel wiring instructions. Identify and communicate discrepancies or issues in drawings or BOMs with Project Managers, Quality Control, Sales, and Production teams. Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, and updated in a timely manner. Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and resolve technical challenges. Maintain detailed records and ensure clear communication across all departments involved in the production process. Responsibility for the manufacturing traveler packets from creation, through red-line, to as-builts. Responsible for the update and/or review of red-lined field drawings during the project process Able to troubleshoot and analyze utility P&C schemes Able to troubleshoot 480VAC distribution and motor control equipment Able to troubleshoot 125VDC distribution equipment Able to program and test various microelectronic relays Project Management Responsibilities Under direction of Project Operations Manager and Project Managers, assist with daily operations and activities of projects ranging in size from $50k to $2.0M +. Responsibilities include ensuring overall profitability of assigned projects with a strong focus on schedule and scope management. Develop skills in reading and interpreting technical and commercial contracts Develop skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications Work with manufacturing team on a continuous basis to ensure that they have all required resources for their scheduled work ahead of time Ensures that all project team members clearly understand the scope of WM responsibilities on assigned projects Assists with developing and maintaining standard communication and technical documentation for project implementation (RFIs, Transmittals, Submittals, Change Requests, Project Plans, Status Updates, etc.) Develops and maintains project schedules per WM and customer requirements Valuates progress on project(s) and details changes Responsible for all purchasing and subcontractor requirements for assigned projects Responsible for development of costs and proposal of change orders to contract scope Negotiates change orders to comply with customer and contract requirements Develops and implements a cash flow plan for the project including A/R collections Provides timely financial forecasts on costs, budgets, C/O’s and schedule Serves as WM’s primary interface with the customer during the implementation phase of assigned projects Ensures compliance with all regulations, codes etc. as they apply to the contract and project(s) Education Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE preferred). Associates degree and significant experience will be considered PE certification preferred but not required PMP certification preferred but not required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and high levels of organization Effective leadership and communication skills for cross-department collaboration Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills Ability to analyze complex electrical drawings and specifications Team-oriented mindset and openness to learning new processes Preferred Experience Background in electrical protection and control systems Experience working with electric utility companies or in related industries 3-5 years of experience in electrical panel manufacturing, technical services roles, and/or quality roles Personal Attributes Highly detail-oriented and methodical in work processes. Proactive in identifying and solving problems Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain focus on accuracy
