Responsibilities Uses computer assisted engineering and design software (i.e. Auto
CAD, REVIT, PLSCADD
etc.) to prepare engineering and design drawings and documents on a regular basis. May provide direction to CAD Operators to reduce designs to working drawings. Assist in the development of opinion of probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department. Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs to plan and design projects. Prepare design computations and design under direction of Practice Area Leader, Senior Project Manager or Project Engineer. Assist in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules and permits for projects. May be required to visit projects in construction to perform site visits, provide construction progress reports, review contractor submittals for compliance with design and specifications. Review operation and maintenance manuals and perform as-built drawing review, markups, and CAD support. Serve on Committees and Teams as requested by management. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; two years of experience or relevant internships preferred. Engineering Intern (EI) Certification required. Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred. Proficiency in commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook). Possess strong interpersonal skills. Possess ability to work across the company via MS Teams, Zoom, or other communication platforms to conduct meetings, share ideas, give project updates, etc. in a professional manner. Valid driver’s license.
