Co-op Engineering – Controls, starting Fall 2025 Position Available In Granville, North Carolina

Job Description:

Responsibilities The Altec Controls Group is responsible forvarious aspects of control system design. The Altec control systemdesign process involves working with customers to develop an ideaand support it through the Altec Product Development Process andinto the hands of our customers. Our control systems utilize theModel Based Design methodology via The Mathworks Matlab andSimulink controls development environment. We seek to implementclassical closed loop controls, with an eye towards emergingadvanced controls strategies.

POTENTIAL

RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate on design teams to develop and test control softwarefor Altec products Review and create control system documentation(electrical schematics, component prints, specification documents,functional requirements, etc) Review electrical componentspecification and application for compatibility Evaluate and testnew control system components Utilize data loggers to troubleshootequipment and evaluate new designs Become part of Altec’steam-oriented design, manufacture, and customer service/supportefforts Support Operations, Sales, and Service Participate inContinuous Improvement Initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

Pursuing abachelor’s degree in a related discipline: Electrical EngineeringComputer Engineering Mechanical Engineering with controlsconcentration Agricultural Engineering with controls concentrationComputer Science •Minimum GPA of 2.75
