Electrical Engineer Job Description The Electrical Engineer is a vital member of the electro-mechanical design team, responsible for designing power and control circuits for new and existing food service equipment. This role involves component sizing and selection, as well as the creation and revision of electrical schematics. Additional duties include wire harness design, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, compliance testing, documentation, and technology development. Responsibilities Lead electrical engineering functions including design, layout, testing, and evaluation of electrical and electro-mechanical devices and systems. Update existing heating, power, and control systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize maintenance efforts and warranty expenses. Pioneer new cooking technologies, including advanced controls and heating systems, to strengthen the company’s position as an innovator in the food service equipment industry. Manage and improve in-house testing procedures for Fryer/Griddle Cooking equipment to enhance product quality and worker safety. Maintain electrical BOMs, update standard costing files, and review engineering change requests. Manage code compliance activities for products including UL, Energy Star, and state-level submissions. Collaborate with design team members to develop installation, setup, operation, and troubleshooting manuals for Steam Cooking equipment. Coordinate Toolbox cost reduction activities and share ideas for component and product line simplification. Coordinate development efforts with suppliers and in-house personnel to minimize time-to-market. Manage patent applications and participate in technology review meetings. Support other operations to develop and improve new cooking technologies. Learn and embrace the business culture to strengthen competitive edge. Essential Skills Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in power/voltage and controls. Proven experience designing control and power circuits for food service equipment. Deep knowledge of commercial cooking standards including UL-Standard 197 and

NSF/ANSI

Standard 4. Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously requiring supplier coordination and hands-on testing. Schematic design and wiring diagram experience required. Familiarity with mechanical design practices and data acquisition software. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SolidWorks.
